A post-flight learning tool

Trackline is a post-flight review and learning tool. It is intended to support reflection and discussion after a flight. It is not designed to direct a flight in progress or make operational decisions for a pilot.

Data has limits

Trackline’s output depends on the flight data and third-party data available to it. Data may be missing, delayed, inaccurate, or incomplete. As a result, observations may omit events or lack important context. Review output as one source of post-flight information, not as a complete record of what occurred.

No certification or official evaluation

Trackline is not an FAA evaluation and does not provide an FAA grade, checkride result, or CFI endorsement. It does not certify or determine a pilot’s safety, proficiency, currency, or fitness to fly. Trackline does not guarantee safety, improvement, or any particular training or performance outcome.

Not a replacement for aviation resources

Trackline does not replace:

• instruction, evaluation, or guidance from a qualified CFI;
• official aviation information or applicable regulations;
• preflight planning or an official weather briefing;
• current charts, checklists, notices, or other required flight materials;
• POH or AFM limitations, procedures, and guidance;
• official records or logbooks; or
• a pilot’s own observation, judgment, and decision-making.

Pilot responsibility

Pilots remain responsible for planning and conducting flights, making operational decisions, maintaining required qualifications and currency, and complying with all applicable aviation rules. When Trackline output differs from an official source, aircraft documentation, a qualified instructor, or current conditions, rely on the appropriate authoritative source and sound pilot judgment.
